TechnologyOne was established in 1987 to develop and commercialise financial management and accounting software. Since then we have become one of Australia’s leading software companies.

Our software is installed in more than 800 organisations and thousands of people use TechnologyOne software every day. We employ more than 700 people and have offices in every State and Territory of Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and the United Kingdom.

Significant milestones in the company’s history include:

2009

        • Adrian Di Marco named Business Person of the Year at the prestigious Lord Mayor's Business Awards in Brisbane
        • Successful go live with Student Management solution on the Connected Intelligence platform 
        • The UK office continues to cement its position by securing its first contract in the Local Government sector
        • Hosted Evolve User Conference in Queensland for 1,000 delegates

2008
        • Acquired the technology of Outcome Manager to offer TechnologyOne Performance Planning solution
        • Released new solution, TechnologyOne Customer Relationship Management
        • Undertook major sponsorship with Education Queensland for the 2008 Education Queensland Showcase Awards for the fifth consecutive year

2007
        • The large-scale custom software development group, Project Services, is re-branded to TechnologyOne Plus
        • Acquired Enterprise Content Management company, Avand Pty Ltd and integrated it into the company's suite of solutions
        • Opened office in Darwin, Australia. TechnologyOne now has an office in every state and territory of Australia
        • TechnologyOne releases it's Business Intelligence and Enterprise Budgeting solutions
        • TechnologyOne signs first United Kingdom customer
        • Undertook major sponsorship with Education Queensland for the 2007 Education Queensland Showcase Awards for the fourth consecutive year

2006
        • Continued roll out of the Connected Intelligence framework across the company's solution suite
        • Opened first office in the United Kingdom
        • Undertook major sponsorship with Education Queensland for the 2006 Education Queensland Showcase Awards for the third consecutive year

2005
        • Completed latest technology platform, the Connected Intelligence framework, and released first new product on this platform, TechnologyOne Financials
        • Released the new TechnologyOne Works & Assets solution to complement the company's integrated solution suite
        • Commenced development of TechnologyOne's Business Intelligence solution to deliver 'intelligence' from across the organisation's entire solution suite
        • Renamed the organisation's solution suite under the TechnologyOne brand, to maximise goodwill with the company name
        • TechnologyOne signs a contract with the Whole of Government in Samoa
        • Undertook major sponsorship with Education Queensland for the 2005 Education Queensland Showcase Awards for the second consecutive year

2004
        • Introduced a financial solution targeted to the small to medium enterprise market
        • Opened R&D centre in Perth, Australia
        • Opened office in Wellington, New Zealand
        • TechnologyOne successfully develops software to meet new legislation affecting Australian universities
        • Undertook major sponsorship with Education Queensland for the 2004 Education Queensland Showcase Awards

2003
        • Accelerated development of the organisation's next generation of software products to the Connected Intelligence platform
        • TechnologyOne hosted Proclaim One Conference at Conrad Jupiters, Queensland

2002
        • First sale of TechnologyOne Property & Rating (then called Proclaim One)
        • TechnologyOne Supply Chain is officially launched
        • Opened office in Canberra, Australia
        • TechnologyOne participated in a government funded trade mission to the UK in March 2002
        • TechnologyOne's platform moved to .NET technology

2001
        • Release of the new Java (J2EE) Development Framework
        • TechnologyOne hosts User Conference
        • TechnologyOne received the New International Business Partner of the Year award from ESRI at its Florida conference in January 2001
        • TechnologyOne develops infrastructure to support Business to Business (B2B) e-commerce 
        • Protégé and Protégé Map Beta (also known as eProclaim) releases were completed in April and successfully installed in customer sites 
        • The final module of Victorian Online Titles System (VOTS) went live in April 2001
        • Workflow functionality incorporated into the Application Development Framework
        • TechnologyOne becomes a registered commercial member of IBM's PartnerWorld for Developers
        • TechnologyOne Human Resource & Payroll (previously People One) launched
        • Opened office in Adelaide, Australia 
        • Opened office in Perth, Australia

2000
        • Opened office in Auckland, New Zealand
        • Opened office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
        • Released eBusiness Development Framework 
        • TechnologyOne moves into new head office and R&D centre in Toowong, Brisbane
        • Acquired Proclaim Software Pty Ltd (now TechnologyOne Property & Rating)
        • eBusiness Development Framework released
        • TechnologyOne hosts User Conference with former Prime Minister Bob Hawke as keynote speaker

1999
        • TechnologyOne Student Management (previously called Student One) goes live at its first site 
        • TechnologyOne listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX)
        • Opened Hobart, Tasmania office
        • TechnologyOne showcases Release 10 of Finance One at 1999 User Conference 
        • TechnologyOne lists on the Australian Securities Exchange
        • TechnologyOne opens office in Hobart, Tasmania
        • TechnologyOne wins IT&T Award for Business Innovation

1998
        • Opened Melbourne, Victoria office
        • TechnologyOne's Finance One product features in CFO magazines' June issue
        • TechnologyOne signs first Community Services customer
        • TechnologyOne signs first Health customer

1997

        • FinanceOne overshadows all competing products in survey conducted by Gartner Group research division, Dataquest, for the second consecutive year
        • TechnologyOne ranked number 38 in ComputerWorld's Software 50 released in summer 1997
        • Hosted FinanceOne User Conference

1996
        • General Release of TechnologyOne Financials (previously Finance One) client/server version
        • Release of TechnologyOne's Application Development Framework
        • Opened Sydney, New South Wales office
        • TechnologyOne ranked number 41 in ComputerWorld's Software 50 released in summer 1996
        • FinanceOne overshadows all competing products in survey conducted by Gartner Group research division, Dataquest
        • TechnologyOne releases FinanceOne 8.0 for Windows Version 2.1
        • TechnologyOne is ranked in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards, recognising the fast growing technology companies in Australia
        • TechnologyOne signs first Local Government deal

1995
        • TechnologyOne's Finance One product is called ‘fashionable' in Computerworld's September issue
        • The Australian prints "the latest craze in financial systems appears to be Finance One" on 24 October
        • TechnologyOne demonstrates Finance One for Windows at User Conference in March
        • Establishment of the Service Delivery division

1994
        • Accreditation to the International Standard ISO9001 (Quality Management system)
        • TechnologyOne signs first Financial Services customer
        • TechnologyOne signs first Managed Services customer

1993
        • TechnologyOne demonstrates GUI version of FinanceOne at User Conference
        • FinanceOne redeveloped to be database-independent, and none of the main database companies supported it (BRW, July 1998, p. 83)
        • TechnologyOne signs first Malaysian customer

1992
        • TechnologyOne gains accreditation to the Australian Software Standard AS3563
        • Queensland's Department of Natural Resource and Mines Automated Titling System (ATS) developed with Technology One
        • TechnologyOne holds its first user conference
        • College Administration System (CAP) for TAFE Queensland goes live
        • TechnologyOne signs first Federal Government customer 
        • TechnologyOne signs first New Zealand customer
        • TechnologyOne signs first State Government customer

        • Release of TechnologyOne Financials (previously Finance One)
